Dystopian Nonfiction 2021, Thoughts on the Present
Remember, they can call anything a law, that doesn’t make it efficacious to human life. History shows us the perils and tragedy of the path the administrative class of nations. Remember, as conventional history tells it, the Chinese had a printing press long before western Europe, but they did not want their citizenry to have access to it, therefore in the West freedom of thought developed a “lindy effect”, but in the East the mandarins (administrative class) ruled. There are basic overreaching concepts that have worked for thousands of years, there are those implemented by rulers and those followed by more liberty minded civilizations, to simplify or use heuristics, these ideas and methods (used by tyrannical rulers or liberty minded civilizations) have a “lindy effect”.
In the mean, the “lindy effect” is generally ascribed to those things with an efficacious result; however, that is not always the case.
The issue may arise (as in the case of tyrannical regimes) whereby an idea or method which does not have an efficacious result, is insulated and grows over time (like a cancer) because it is not challenged, and thereby is given or ascribed a “lindy effect”, but in the longer term it destroys the host civilization.
What that means for the current situation, I leave the reader to determine, but make no mistake changes (both long term efficacious and long term detrimental) are happening.
I would say that when people allow (yes allow) detrimental actions to go on without consequence, without those involved being called out and made to suffer the consequences of their actions, this is the sign of a very fragile system.
Further, it may be said, that to obscure or to act together with other “leadership”; in actively obscuring the cause of detriment to large members of society, to willfully and consciously alter datum, release reports utilizing altered datum and to consciously build policy around that datum and not be held to account, well that is another case altogether.
Fortunately we have historical precedent for this kind of willful act, and one of the codes that describes this is the Nuremberg Code.

That is a fact, and any society that refuses to render consequences, in this model or framework renders itself fragile. The goal, is to build a more anti-fragile society, a society that can last longer. Fragile societies do not last long term, lets hope better decisions may be made by such leadership within society and lets hope that more suitable leadership to an anti-fragile society may take the helm.
Now there is an alternative, a third way, and unfortunately this is the path that “leadership” has chosen. This is the reason that the ports are congested, its the reason for all the sudden “logistical” issues and it is the reason that the writings of Phillip K. Dick may not have been just warnings but, a history lesson.
In this case, the administrative class has deemed itself, satisfactorily insulated from consequences, and thus in order to maintain the status quo, by dictat they have ordered the “processing” of excess resources in order to build a mechanized future whereby the current human resource supply is not required.
It may be said, in the manner of the sophist, by leadership that, “Well we do not forsee the current model being sustainable, and thus we have derived a plan to keep humanity on our terms, thus we introduce the following plan”. This, “leadership” as I have referenced is not benevolent, it is, and always has been a predatory class. The failure to recognize this fact has been shouted from rooftops for many centuries, written about by those from within this predatory class. Whether it be Smedley Darlington Butler who wrote “War is a Racket”; Eric Blair (George Orwell), who witnessed the tyrannical and inhuman rule of his own nation within Burma, or Stuart Scheller; who spoke out against the criminal leadership within our own modern time, the voices have been many.
In “Watership Down” are we not alluded to as human beings being mere beasts here, our qualities described:
“One of these is certainly their staunch ability to withstand disaster and to let the stream of their life carry them along, past reaches of terror and loss. They have a certain quality which it would not be accurate to describe as callousness or indifference. It is, rather, a blessedly circumscribed imagination and an intuitive feeling that Life is Now.”
Indeed this may be our downfall as a species, for no one will save us, but ourselves. To not recognize when one is being hunted and preyed upon, is indeed a terrible state. As the quote goes, “For your enemy prowls like a roaring lion seeking whom it may devour.” One of the signs that classifies prey from predator is the fear response, to avoid being the prey, the first step is to eliminate fear, a concept which every leader of men knows well.
To take action is what is needed in these times, and yet to do nothing is also an action itself. Each of us has a choice, and although we enjoy our autonomy, like the fasces, we are stronger together.
